On the topic of environment modeling that I mentioned in my last post, here's a project I was working on that never really went anywhere. I had big goals for it, but ended up losing steam of course. Still learned some cool stuff though. I think the volumetric cloud fog effect really turned out cool, although it absolutely murders the render time lol. Also features my reworked shipping container model.

This is the source video for what I was intending on overlaying on a real video of my Leading Edge CRT I have. If I were to do it again I might just model the scene directly in Blender and skip the VFX stuff compeletely. I wanted to do it to practice some of that VFX workflow though, so maybe I'll do that still. Either way, the video below this is how it looks on the CRT.

All the edits and the camera feed layout were made in Blender's video sequencer. I've said it before, but the VSE is not an amazing video editor, but it's one that's familiar and still very useful to me personally.

Color correction with Darktable.

Uses a mix of my own textures and AmbientCG textures.
